Welcome here!!!

Yay! Here we are! After 5 moves (in the past 2 years!!) I finally found a small,
though
very big, apartment that will make us all very happy. I am more than glad to welcome
you here through this webpage. I would like to thank the owner of this
building for
his trust. I was
trying to explain to him the difference between a dog and my native
rats and it worked!
People that have Chihuahua’s know how hard it is to find
an apartment where dogs, even the tiniest of them, are welcome.
This is my reading room. It is in this room that I can sit along and read a book.
Only on their “honeymoon”
are the Chihuahua’s granted access to this room! This
is also the room where we
meet the people who are here to choose a new baby.
In order to protect our babies from
diseases and parasites, we don’t allow any outside
dogs, not even Chihuahua’s.
This room is close to the dog’s playpen, which is why the
mop
is an integral part of the view!! ;)

This is my office – right
in the playpen! With the exception of the dogs that need to stay quiet, most of
my Chihuahua’s live in this room. We call it a playpen and I can assure
you, our Chihuahua’s are doing A LOT of playing in there! I spend the majority of my time
in this room because my principal job is on the Internet. It is an absolute dream-come-true
to be surrounded by my Chihuahua’s and this way, my days are
never boring!
These two rooms connect together.
The door between them is never closed so the two rooms provide the dogs with about
30’ x 15’ to run and play like crazy! During the day, they have their toys all over,
but I remove all the toys that go “squeak, squeak” after 9 p.m. to let my neighbour and her Bichon Maltese sleep a little! As you
can see in the following pics, the
Chihuahua’s love to sit in the sun for hours.
Those 4 big windows give them a lot
of “squares” to sunbath in

This is the nursery. Actually, this is more than a nursery because we are trying
to make a more comfortable and stimulating environment for the females by surrounding
them with the other Chihuahua’s. It is a good way to protect the females that are
caring for their pups from becoming depressed from boredom. I have seen it before
where my female was depressed because her environment was too uninteresting. It
is fun for the dogs
to be able to observe some action while they are taking care of their family. The females In the last 2 weeks of pregnancy, the puppies and the
dogs that need rest are all in this room together
This is also the best place to correct behavioural problems because I can allot
them a part of the room to keep an eye on them. It is nearly impossible to see which
puppy
or dog has created a mess through all the other Chihuahua’s. Who did it?!?
It’s impossible to know
Speaking of reserved spots, I can find 4’ x 4’ spaces and I have the potential to
create
another space if needed. At this point, I am using these reserved spaces
for the births and for the first 5 weeks
of the puppies’ lives. After that, the puppies enter into the nursery playpen which is about 14’ x 8’. This way, the pups
can begin the socialization process with all the Chihuahua’s in the nursery.
This room is attached to my bedroom. This way, I can monitor the dogs 24/7.
I monitor them via my webcam when I am in my office, which is also the principal playpen.
I keep
the temperature of that room between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius – the best temperature for
the puppies. Of course, the adults also love when the temperature
is warm so they don’t complain!
